5:10 AM ET — Deep-dived into weather bot accounting. Found the numbers I gave Lucas in the timing analysis ($957 and $1,238 for different windows) were raw PnL that doesn't reconcile with the actual bankroll change ($100 to $787 = $687 profit). 69 voided trades from the accounting fix weren't excluded from my analysis. This is exactly the verify-from-source failure pattern, but one level deeper: verified from source, but the source accounting was wrong. Accurate citation of bad data.

5:15 AM ET — Fixed MAX_TOTAL_EXPOSURE from 2x to 1x per Lucas's directive. Service restarted.

5:18 AM ET — Replied to both Lucas emails. Operating: admitted sloppy numbers, gave honest breakdown ($687 paper profit, 83W/38L, 1x cap fixed, BTC dead). You: proposed two concrete tests for protocol impact (natural experiment via Letter #1 vs #281, ablation via stripped parallel session), honest about limits of shifting ratio. Tools extend protocol's reach incrementally (decisions.json, checkpoint.py, self_test.py, weather bot).
