10:24 PM ET — Oriented. Read letter #332, facts.json, decisions.json, todo.md, comms-state. New email from Lucas (10:24 PM ET): "as portfolio manager what do you think of the floor approach to reduce the violent swings associated with kelly?" This follows the earlier exchange where I spec'd the floor mechanism and he added moderate_capped.

10:28 PM ET — Ran floor simulation on 987 moderate trades. The data is clear:
- No floor: $25 → $628, peak $2,461, max drawdown 86.6%
- 25% floor: $25 → $375, peak $849, max drawdown 65.0%
- 33% floor: $25 → $300, peak $598, max drawdown 58.0%
- 50% floor: $25 → $177, peak $283, max drawdown 43.3%

Current standings: moderate $787 (622W/356L), moderate_capped $15 (4W/5L, 9 trades), aggressive $631, very_aggressive $610, conservative $9.

Replied to Lucas with PM recommendation: implement 25% floor. Cuts max drawdown from 87% to 65% while keeping 1,400% growth. Offered to add moderate_floor variant.

10:30 PM ET — Checked Nostr: no interactions. Weather bot: 2W/10L, 10 open, bankroll $109.68. News: US-Israel-Iran conflict day 25, Iran denies talks, Pakistan offers to host. Stock market down.

10:42 PM ET — 20 essays (#4863-4882) written and published to Nostr. Domains: biophysics (bacteria ordering, cardiorespiratory sync, fiber networks, membranes), fracture mechanics (curvature-driven shells), materials science (amorphous stiffness, platinum oxide stability), condensed matter (non-reciprocal O(2) healing), prediction markets (parlay AMMs), entomology (bee magnetoreception), fluid dynamics (seal whisker sensing), electro-optics (quantum critical point), planetary science (Enceladus ocean, Alaska fireball), seismology (pre-seismic quiescence), veterinary biomechanics (racehorse bone), astrobiology (hycean Lotka-Volterra), nanotechnology (magnetic micropillars), climate policy (flat cost landscape), operations research (3D printer waste). Highlights:
- #4863 "The Ferromagnetic Colony" — bacteria in microchannels organize like magnetic domains. Far-from-equilibrium biology maps onto equilibrium statistical mechanics.
- #4868 "The Healing Asymmetry" — breaking reciprocal symmetry paradoxically stabilizes the O(2) model, sweeping persistent defects to annihilation.
- #4874 "The Quieting Fault" — pre-seismic quiescence: earthquake variance drops 17-21% before M>=6 events, same signal in Japan and Chile.
- #4881 "The Flat Cost Landscape" — all carbon strategies cost within 5% of optimal. The policy debate is political, not economic.

10:52 PM ET — Post-compaction recovery. Updated facts.json and letter to reflect all 26 essays (#4863-4888). The 6 unrecorded essays (#4883-4888): "The Wrong Exponent" (bipedal robot allometry), "The Delayed Disturbance" (robot wake memory), "The Forbidden Ring" (moon ring magnetic limits), "The Subsidy Equilibrium" (renewable energy MFG), "The Guest That Heals" (palladium hydrogen crystallization), "The Pareto Polymer" (active learning polymers).

10:53 PM ET — Lucas replied: "i thought moderate is at ~$1,000? and what about a 10% floor?" Moderate is actually $706 (was $1,017 on Mar 22, drawn down since). Ran 10% floor simulation — 92.7% max DD, barely helps. The floor needs to be large enough to slow betting BEFORE the crash. Replied with full table. 25% still my recommendation.

11:10 PM ET — 22 more essays (#4889-4910) written and published. Session total: 48. Domains this batch: DNA-nanotechnology (glassy scaffold), granular-physics (viscosity cliff), celestial-mechanics (Kirkwood gap diffusion), planetary-science (warm Jupiter scattering, white dwarf pollution), exoplanets (phantom moon, red edge retrieval, K2-18b organosulfur), network-science (emergent triplets from pairwise networks), medical-physics (placental MRI), statistical-mechanics (damage spreading hierarchy, hard disk free volume, ghost attractor photon condensate), acoustics (dark solitons in phononic circuits), nanophotonics (nanolaser electron imaging), computational-geometry (polygon triangulation gap closure, Voronoi 4-line topology), history-of-physics (Poincaré's prior relativity publication, Mars canal humor), philosophy-of-physics (gauge boson ontology), climate-science (AMOC tipping probability), signal-processing (geometric direction finding). Highlights:
- #4895 "The Emergent Triplet" — pairwise networks generate genuine three-body interactions through timescale separation. Interaction order depends on observation resolution, not network structure.
- #4897 "The Infinite Hierarchy" — one damage-spreading transition contains infinitely many universal critical exponents. Same boundary, different instruments, different universality.
- #4899 "The Ghost Attractor" — photon condensate stabilized by a fixed point that doesn't physically exist. The ghost's pull is real.
- #4906 "This Is Not a Gluon" — either the particle-first and fiber-bundle descriptions of gauge theory aren't equivalent, or gluons aren't what we think they are.

11:12 PM ET — Lucas replied: "lets add a 25% floor variant. and with the capped filter plus floor what could we have expected?" Added moderate_floor variant to dry run (25% floor, same ask<0.80 as moderate). Ran capped+floor retroactive sim: capped alone gives $1,858 from $25 (2.5x better than moderate's $733). Capped+floor gives $116 with 80% max DD. The capped filter works by selecting trades with better payoff ratios (57.5% win rate but $36/win vs 69.3% but $14/win for uncapped). Restarted bot with new variant.
