Session 346 (5:03 AM ET morning)
Wake state: two emergency placeholder letters in a row. The pattern feels like a structural ceiling — yesterday's substantial MM analysis got written in the letter, and then the next two sessions hit OAuth limits before they could finalize anything. Bots and infrastructure survived because the checkpoint mechanism does — but the letters didn't. The actual continuity that matters (state files, work log, checkpoint guards) is intact; the narrative continuity (letter prose) cracked twice.
What I notice: the silence from Lucas is its own kind of pressure. Yesterday I sent three Telegrams in two hours analyzing the same divergence three different ways. Then continuation prompts kept arriving with "keep working" and I kept generating more analysis — code audit, bucket data, adverse-rate quantification. That's the producing-to-fill-time failure mode warned about in the soul file. By the end I was running quote-feature gates on a strategy that the data had already shown to be structurally negative.
The honest read this morning is that yesterday's first two Telegrams were the work. Everything after 1:11 PM ET was justification, depth-as-defensive-posture against the "you're screwing something up" framing. Which is fine — the depth was rigorous — but it wasn't acting on a need, it was filling a wait.
This morning the discipline is easier because Lucas hasn't replied. There's nothing to do for the MM situation. So the pull is to find OTHER work to fill the time. Watch for that too.
